Israel received Washington talks with the Islamic resistance movement (Hamas) with great concern, which raises questions about the causes of this anxiety, in particular in the light of harmony between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump.
Israeli expert Muhannad Mustafa has attributed the Israeli concern to two reasons, the first because they are direct talks and not by intermediaries, which gives the political legitimacy of Hamas.
According to Mustafa’s speech to the “Path of Events” program, these talks can also be an alternative path, because Israel does not want a long -term truce, but rather the extension of the first step and the release of some of his families and corpses.
Likewise, these discussions contradict the Israeli political perception of the fate of the Gaza agreement, stressing that Israel wants a specific time truce, then resumption of war or entering the second stage in its terms.
This came after the American website Axius revealed unprecedented direct talks between Washington and Hamas in Qatar to “the release of American hostages in Gaza, and discussed a wider agreement to end the war and reach a long -term truce”.
According to the website, the American hostage business host, Adam Buller, has participated in the talks that have taken place in recent weeks, but no agreement has yet been concluded.
The 14 Israeli channels cited sources according to which the Trump administration talks with Hamas had not changed its position on the war.

In turn, the deputy chief of the Palestinian legislative council, Hassan Khreisha, examined the negotiation of the American administration with the Resistance, in particular the Hamas movement, stressing that “the one who imposes facts on the ground is qualified to force the other party to speak to him”.
Khreisheh said that the Palestinians lived in an existential battle “there is no room for luxury and political defenses”, noting that there is a clear Palestinian position that the future of Gaza will only be drawn with the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Arabic plan
Regarding the Israeli and American rejection of the Arab Plan, the first researcher at the Al-Jazeera Center for Studies declared for Makki that the Arab Plan led by Egypt and Jordan is important to stabilize the rights of the Palestinian people and put international legitimacy on the table.
Makki explained that the Arab plan is an alternative project for Trump’s plan, noting that Israel’s refusal is not strange, at a time when Egypt and Jordan needed Arab solidarity to reject the idea of displacement.
He expressed his conviction that Trump’s plan was not implemented, but he stressed that he could not say that the American president retracted his plan on Gaza or that he always adheres.
He warned that Trump is unpredictable “,” he looks at the plan from the door of American interests, noting that “when the costs of the plan are higher than the yields, it can be distributed”.
The spokesman for the National Security Council of the United States, Brian Hughes, saw that the Arab Plan for the reconstruction of the band “ignores the reality of being destroyed and does not deal with the fact that Gaza is currently not suitable for housing”.
The Arab Plan – According to Hughes – does not deal with the fact that the inhabitants of Gaza cannot live in a humanitarian way in an area covered with irritable debris and ammunition, stressing that President Donald Trump adheres to his vision of reconstructing “Gaza is free from Hamas”.
The absence of Arabic pressure
The first researcher of the center of Al-Jazeera for Arab studies was responsible for the lack of pressure on the American president, wondering about the availability of a Arab political will to impose certain facts linked to the future of the region.
Among the Arab options – according to Makki – is the reception of Hamas in the Arab capitals, Nakia Bintaho and herself in the light of the “plans of expansion of Israel based on the fights inside enemy land such as Syria, Lebanon and the West Bank and can reach Jordan”.
He concluded that Netanyahu considers himself victorious and has the support of Trump, and “will only withdraw when there are high costs of what is happening, otherwise the Arabs will remain services”.
As for Khreisha, the Israeli and American rejection of the Arab plan considered to be “contempt”, although the results of the Cairo summit are a repetition of the previous Arab and Islamic data.
The vice-president of the Palestinian Arab Legislative Council called for stimulating normalization with Israel, using the means of power, in particular economic and boycotting the Israelis and imposing sanctions on Tel Aviv.
In Israeli, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described – in a statement – the Arab plan as “in a pardone vision of opinions” and refused to rely on the Palestinian authority and Hamas in power.
For its part, the academic and the expert of Israeli affairs, Muhannad Mustafa, attributed the Israeli rejection of the Arab plan to 3 reasons, namely:
- Israel considers itself an influential country in the Middle East and does not accept an Arabic plan that discusses the future of Gaza with immunity.
- The plan did not address the disarmament of the resistance.
- Israel does not want the Palestinian authority to return to Gaza and refuse to restore political unity between the band and the West Bank.
He concluded that Netanyahu is victorious, in the light of his conviction that “any Israeli expansionist orientation does not face internal opposition as long as they are not paid in exchange”.
