Barcelona striker Ravenia revealed that he was planning to leave Barcelona, and that German coach Hansi Felk has changed his life since he took over the Catalan giant.
Ravenia, 28, has made a qualitative change in her performance this season, and Felk was one of the most important pillars of this transformation and gave her all of the main players in Barcelona.
Ravenia admitted – in an interview with the Brazilian channel “Globo Esborte” – which he thought of leaving Barcelona last summer, and that Flech was decisive in the decision to stay with the club.
“I was thinking of leaving Barcelona after the Copa America. But Felk changed my life. He called me and asked me to come and train before making a decision, and he said that he wanted to talk to me and that he was counting on me,” said Ravenia.
“I did not feel good until Felk did not call me. Rumors spread daily on my transition to another team. I did not go as well as I expected last season,” he added.
“It was an important factor in my decision to stay. I told my wife that if he was a fair man and judged the players according to their commitment to train, I will give him a week to prove my value of a player, and he will not regret it. I think it succeeded.”
In addition to renting Felk in its development, Ravenia also underlined the mental work he has done in the past year, which has enabled him to reach the highest level of his career.
“In the middle of last season, after my injury, I intensified my psychological training with a specialist,” said Ravenia.
Asked about his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or, he simply replied: “Just mention my name as one of the candidates to win is a victory in itself after all that I experienced in my career.”
The Brazilian has played 42 games with Barcelona so far, during which he has scored 27 goals and made 20 assists.
The Brazilian wing joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022, coming from Leeds United for 57 million euros, in addition to 8 million awards.
