French President Emmanuel Macron said he had a conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, who had managed developments in the Gaza Strip and the situation in Ukraine.
Macron added, in an article on the X platform, that in contact with the Israeli strikes in Gaza, the two parties agreed that they had to return to a cease-fire to restore “hostages” and protect civilians.
The French president said that he had welcomed Saudi Arabia’s work with his Arab partners to establish a reliable framework for the day after the war in Gaza, and he also expressed his hope of opening a political horizon after a conference on a two -state solution led by France and Saudi Arabia.
On Wednesday, the Israeli army resumed its operations on the ground in the Gaza Central and South Gaza Strip. According to Health Sectors in Gaza on Wednesday, 70 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids.
On Syria and Lebanon, Macron stressed that France and Saudi Arabia share the same objectives and that they love Lebanon with all its sovereignty and that Syria is united, stable and involved in a complete transfer.
The French president also praised the initiative of the Saudi Crown Prince, which allowed the start of peace negotiations in Ukraine.
