The military expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, said that the operation carried out by the new forces of Syrian administration in the Sahel regions was “more security than military”, revealing a weakness of the intelligence information that led to the implementation of the ambushes against the security forces.
According to the agricultural analysis of the island, the old regime forces are buried in certain rugged houses and mountainous areas, which help the guerrillas and the installation of ambushes, in reference to the Mont du Prophet Yunus in Lattakia.
But this geography will not change much in reality on the field, because Al-Falahi stressed that the old regime forces will not be able to change the new security scene, by deducting the capacities which they had in parallel with external support before its collapse.
It was likely that the remains of the regime wanted to implement the recent ambushes also highlighting the areas of the coast because they have private life after southern Syria, and the question of forces known as “democratic Syria” in northeast Syria.
And armed men faithful to the old regime erected yesterday, Thursday, bloody ambushes on the Syrian coast, killing at least 15 members of Syrian security personnel and injuring others, and the Syrian authorities described these attacks as coordinates.
With regard to these ambushes, Al-Falahi said that he covered a geographical area that extends from Latakia to Tartous, which confirms that this is an organized work and carries many dimensions.
From the point of view of the military expert, the Syrian Ministry of Defense had to control these areas as “ruling areas that lead to major cities of the Syrian coast”.
He underlined the weak information of intelligence, on the basis of the implementation of the remains of a series of operations and ambushes along the region, because he stressed that it should have been focused on hot areas.
Likewise, the former regime forces did not benefit from the question of the regulation granted by the new Syrian administration, and he preferred – according to Al -Falahi – to maintain arms to destabilize security and stability, and therefore transformed into armed groups outside the law.
According to Al-Falahi, there are difficulties in reaching new supplies to the remains of Assad on the Syrian coast, in the light of the control of the new forces of Syrian administration in all regions surrounding Lattakia and tangy.
He concluded that “the weapons available for the remains of Assad are not heavy, and they cannot be loaded with work which imposes a new reality in the region”.
But a head of the internal security service in Tartous has declared to the island that “evidence shows the remains of the ousted regime with external parties”, stressing “the use of the remains of the communications and advanced weapons that we have never seen before”.
Al-Falahi expressed his conviction that recent operations aim to “cause security chaos, so that they are employed by external parties working to destabilize the Syrian interior”.
In turn, a source of security told the island that the Ministry of Defense forces had eliminated the ambushes that the remains of the regime ousted on the road from Idlib-Lattakia overnight. He added that security and military forces paint the areas where the remains of the ousted regime have been installed.
Earlier in the day, the spokesperson for the Syrian Defense Ministry, Hassan Abdel -Ghani, confirmed the taxation of control over the cities of adhesion and Lattakia on the Syrian coast, stressing that the security forces are confronted with criminal homes aimed at causing chaos and civilians.
Abdel -Ghani told Al -jazeera that the Ministry of Defense Forces had regained control of many sites that the remains of the regime infiltrated and should end the operation against the remains in a few hours, after having provided military reinforcements from all the axes, to extend control of Tartous and Lattakia.
