Ten Hag responds to criticism of Ronaldo sport

Dutchman Eric Ten Hag, manager of English football team Manchester United, has responded to criticism from former team star Cristiano Ronaldo, saying that “outside noise” does not bother him or affect him.

The British news agency (PA Media) reported that the Portuguese striker, who played another spell in the team, found himself in a major crisis in November 2022, after making statements that caused a great uproar.

Those statements included criticism of Dutch coach Ten Hag, calling him “negative”, and the 39-year-old returned to attack his former manager, saying the team was far from winning the English Premier League and Champions League titles.

Despite this, the Dutch coach was not affected by the statements of the Portuguese player and pointed out that the Saudi star of Al-Nasr himself had said in his interview on an episode of the podcast “Rio Ferdinand Presents” that it would be difficult for the team to face the challenges.

Ten Hag said: “Ronaldo said Manchester United cannot win the English Premier League. He said that if you read the article carefully.”

He added: “It’s a long way to Saudi Arabia and a long way to Manchester. Everyone has the right to express their opinion. That’s a good thing.”
