A recent investigation into the American Pew Center revealed that the majority of Americans oppose the idea of the United States control over Gaza, and that more than half of Americans consider Israel a negative vision compared to less than half before October 7, 2023.
Gaza control
According to the survey published by this American center on its website Tuesday, around 6 out of 10 Americans (62%) oppose the control of the United States on Gaza, 49% of which are strongly opposed, and 22% are not safe, while this is supported by 15%.
For Republicans, 44% of them oppose the American control of Gaza, against 27% who support the idea.
In addition, a large percentage of Americans does not think that President Donald Trump will probably not control Gaza, because 38% said that this was not likely or not at all, while 26% said that this was somewhat possible, 20% considered that it is very likely or very likely and that 16% was not sure.
And the supporter, more than 4 out of 10 Republicans (44%) oppose the control of Gaza, while 28% are taken up. As for the Democrats, they are relatively united in their opposition, because 80% of them oppose the procedure, of which 72%, to which they are strongly opposed.
Bias for Israel
The survey has also shown that 31% of Americans see that Trump shows an excessive bias for Israel, against 29%, they see balanced, while 37% are not sure of the issue.
As a comparison, last July, 21% of Americans thought that former president Joe Biden excessively preferred the Israelis, and 20% think that it is excessive in the preference of the Palestinians, while 18% of the others said that it reached the right balance and 40% non-stage.
In terms of parties, at least a third of each party coalition is not sure that Trump deals with these relationships. While around half of the Republicans think that Trump is reaching the right balance (51%), a similar percentage of democrats (50%) estimates that it is excessive in the preference of Israelis.
Bentiaho trust
Another survey has also shown that the confidence of Americans in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is still relatively low (32%).
This survey was carried out from March 24 to 30, that is to say before the recent visit of Netanyahu in Washington, on a sample of national representative which included 3605 American adults.
The survey also revealed that a slight majority of Americans (53%) now expresses a somewhat negative or negative opinion towards Israel, against 42% before October 7, 2023.
According to the survey, the Americans’ point of view in Israel has become more negative in the past 3 years. The percentage of American adults, who express very negative opinions towards Israel, is multiplied from 10% in 2022 to 19% in 2025.
