Sharedes expected between the Emir of Qatar and the Russian President in Moscow News


The Kremlin has announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin would discuss with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, during their meeting in Moscow tomorrow, Thursday, several regional and international files.

The Kremlin said that talks will focus on “current problems”, mainly commercially, as well as a number of problems that receive international attention.

“He will certainly exchange opinions between Putin and the emir of Qatar concerning Ukrainian affairs … and regional questions,” said journalists, spokesperson for Kremlin.

He added that “conflict possibilities are excellent in the region, and Qatar plays an important and very important role in attempts to settle many crises”.

For his part, the Minister of State of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Al -khulafi, told the Russian news agency TASS that the discussions between the emir of Qatar and the Russian president would address the files of Ukraine, Syria and the Gaza Strip, in addition to questions related to energy, in particular liquefied natural gas.

He added that the Russian conflict -ukrainian led to “a global crisis in supply chains due to high energy and basic products”.

“Our continuous dialogue in this area contributes to the stability of the energy markets, which in turn supports the sustainability of the world economy and helps to overcome the crisis of supply chains.”

Qatar has made mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine, which led to dozens of children from both countries with their families in recent months after the war has separated them.
