The Israel Broadcasting Authority reported on Thursday that tensions between the political and security levels have reached a fever pitch due to fears of transmitting confidential information in an unacceptable manner, following the leak of information related to the attack on the Iran.

The broadcaster explained that the spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office revealed security details on the night of the attack on Iran on October 26, without mentioning them, which he called “serious violation of information security procedures”.

She added that the speaker – whom she did not name – holds this position even though he has not obtained approval from the Israeli General Security Agency (Shin Bet) and has been excluded due to his non-compliance with safety conditions. .

The Broadcasting Corporation has confirmed the leak of documents it called sensitive from the “Kiryah” pit in Tel Aviv, where Israeli leaders meet beneath the headquarters of the Israeli Defense Ministry to discuss war matters.

She stressed that the leaked documents could harm Israel’s security, which caused great anger within the security services.

Since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli security services have repeatedly denounced leaks of state secrets and violations that they believe undermine the security of Tel Aviv. , without being able to control them.
