Manchester City City, Kevin de Bruyne, announced on Friday that he would leave the Premier League champions at the end of the season.
From Bruyne, 33, won 16 titles since he joined Manchester City from the German club Wolfsburg in 2015, a result which includes six Premier League titles and the Champions League title in 2023. He was also chosen the best player in the Premier League twice.

“It is very difficult for me to declare it, but all the players know that this day will inevitably come. This day is for me and it is my duty to inform you first of this decision. Each story has an end, but it is certainly the best chapter.”

De Bruyne participated in 20 championship games this season after being absent from the stadiums due to the injury in September and the difficulty of restoring his complete physical form.

Thanks to his role as a playmaker, he became the second most important player who presented assists in the history of the Premier League with 118 assists, behind Ryan Giggs (162).
Despite the disappointing season, De Bruyne has the possibility of adding another title to his closet, because Nutingham Forest should face the FA Cup final on April 26.
