Jordan: Protests demand return of Al-Jazi’s body from Israel | news

The Jordanian capital, Amman, witnessed a demonstration demanding the return of the body of Maher Al-Jazi Al-Huwaitat, the perpetrator of the King Hussein Bridge operation, in which 3 Israelis were killed.

The protesters demanded an end to the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip and support for the resistance. They also demanded, according to Al Jazeera Net correspondent Tamer Al-Sammadi, who followed the demonstration, the return of two Jordanian citizens who are still under investigation by the Israeli side as part of the operation.

Al-Sammadi said that the demonstration took place in the center of the old city of the capital, Amman, where hundreds of people expressed their support for the operation carried out by Maher Al-Jazi, and raised his pictures next to those of Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, in a message of support, support and solidarity with the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Sammadi stressed that the Jordanian government had made it clear that it had been making diligent contacts for days to recover the body of Al-Jazi detained in Israel, as well as for the return of citizens detained for investigation there, in addition to its efforts to end the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza for nearly a year.

Al-Jazi, a retired Jordanian soldier who works as a truck driver, opened fire on Israeli crossing security as he drove his truck through the crossing, which on the Israeli side is named Allenby, killing 3 of them before he was martyred by Israeli security bullets on September 8.
