More than 78,000 Israeli army and security forces have been injured since October 7, 2023, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation published on Sunday evening.
The broadcasting authority has cited the Rehabilitation Department of the Israeli Defense Ministry saying that there are more than 78,000 injured in the ranks of the army and the security forces, 50% of them suffer from psychological trauma.
The ministry said that 16,000 injured had been hospitalized since October 7 for treatment.
There is a big gap between the figures announced by the Ministry of Defense and that published on the Israeli army website.
On its site, the Israeli army says that only 5,741 soldiers have been injured since the events of October 7, 2023.
During the Israeli war which has been on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, the occupation adopted 835 officers and military, in addition to the thousands of wounded, physically and psychologically disabled, following the war.
On October 7, the Islamic resistance movement (Hamas) – in the al -aqsa flood operation – 22 colonies and 11 military bases along Gaza, killing and capturing hundreds of Israelis, in response to daily Israeli occupation crimes against the Palestinian people and their sanctities, in particular the Mosque of Al -Aqsa, according to the movement.
The Israeli army faces local accusations to hide a great real result of its losses, in order to preserve morale.
With American support, since October 7, 2023, Israel has committed genocide crimes in Gaza, which left more than 163,000 martyrs and injured the Palestinians, most children and women and more than 14,000 missing.
