Because laughter is a difficult process and an industry that should not be underestimated, Ahmed Amin decided to study comedy and seek its secret, forming a workshop of writers, each with a field in which he is creative. They meet for 12 days during which they laugh and discuss comic topics.
In the program “The Workshop”, broadcast on the platform “Al Jazeera 360”, the participants – 7 in number – discuss in the workshop organized by Ahmed Amin the topics and ideas that inspire comedy, common sense, talent, acceptance, diligence, simplicity and education.
Ahmed Amin says that there are tastes for comedy and laughter. There are those who laugh at a simple thing, and there are those who make people laugh with a certain accent. The idea of comedy may be excellent, but it is not the case. make some people laugh.
He asks himself: Is it possible to make all Arabs laugh at something in common? Is there a joke that makes the entire Arab world laugh?
This is the question answered by some comedy creators in the Arab world, including Ali Al-Kalthami, a Saudi director, who says that there is comedy by nature, that people make people laugh and are always happy.
Aws Fadel, an Iraqi comedian, says: “In comedy, you can’t tell the whole truth, because there is great sensitivity from many angles… For example, when I talk about a subject related to medicine, I have to show the bad doctor.”
The workshop team implements the ideas they present by writing, filming and presenting a script, and each person turns into an actor in “Sketch” clips on various topics, such as “Al-Azouma,” which tells the story of a man who made his life. first invitation after his engagement, and includes funny and serious situations.
