Lebanon’s Hezbollah released photos of what it said was an operation targeting the Israeli base of Yiftah, which includes the headquarters of the 282nd artillery and precision missile brigade.
According to the video released by the party, the base includes the weapons stores of the artillery brigade and is located 18 kilometers from the Lebanese border. It was targeted yesterday, Saturday.
The video showed party fighters preparing the missiles before launching them towards the aforementioned target. It also included footage taken by settlers’ cameras of the moment the missiles arrived and the sirens sounded.
Yesterday, Saturday, Israeli Channel 13 confirmed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had decided to expand the military operation on the northern front.
The channel quoted Netanyahu as saying: “Israel is embarking on a large and powerful operation on the northern front.” It said the Israeli military was seeking a gradual escalation on that front.
