Lebanese Hezbollah announced today Sunday new operations targeting sites in northern Israel, while the occupation army responded by shelling border towns in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah said that its fighters attacked with drones the Iron Dome platforms and the positions of the officers and soldiers of the occupation army in the Zaoura camp in the occupied Syrian Golan, and that this caused deaths and injuries.
Hezbollah added that its fighters shelled with artillery a gathering of Israeli soldiers on the heights of Abu Dajaj, near the Israeli barracks of Zarit, on the Lebanese border, and obtained direct hits.
The party also announced the bombing of the settlements of Kiryat Shmona and Shamir with Katyusha rockets, as well as the Ras Naqoura naval site with drones, in response to the targeting of medical personnel in the southern Lebanese town of Faron yesterday Saturday, which led to the killing of 3 paramedics.
The party said it destroyed spying equipment at the Al-Malikiyah and Ruwaisat Al-Alam sites in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills.
Israeli raids
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Health Ministry said three people were lightly injured in an Israeli raid on the town of Khirbet Selm.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent said that Israeli warplanes attacked the heights of Jabal al-Rayhan and the towns of Aitaroun, Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun, and that artillery shelled the surroundings of several border towns in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military said its drone bombed a group of militants at a Hezbollah military site in the Faron region of southern Lebanon last night.
The army released a recording at dawn today that it said targeted Hezbollah military buildings in Aitaroun, Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun in southern Lebanon.
For its part, the Walla site indicated that the Israeli defenses intercepted a suspicious aerial object in the region of Al-Malikiyah, in Upper Galilee, in the north of Israel.
The Israel Hayom website also reported that five missiles landed in an open area of the town of Zarit in the Western Galilee in northern Israel, with no casualties reported.
Since October 8, 2023, Hezbollah and the Israeli occupation army have exchanged bombardments and border attacks that have left hundreds dead and injured, most of them on the Lebanese side.
