The Turkish president stressed that “it has become urgent to hold a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the leadership level and show a firm stance to the Islamic world” regarding the developments on the Palestinian scene.
Erdogan added that “the duty of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is to defend the cause of Jerusalem and it is unthinkable that it remains indifferent to these attacks,” stressing that the Turkish people stand alongside their Palestinian brothers, “as a people who wrote an epic of resistance during the War of Independence against the imperialist powers of the time,” as he said.
Washington: We will not anticipate investigations

The funeral prayer took place after the body was released from the Rafidia government hospital on Monday afternoon, and Palestinian security forces held an official procession for the solidarity funeral in the presence of Nablus Governor Ghassan Douglas and representatives of civil society. The body of the deceased is then expected to be transported to Turkey, the Foreign Ministry in Ankara announced.
The day before yesterday, the Palestinian forensics confirmed that the activist was killed by a bullet to the head from an Israeli sniper during a peaceful protest, while her family called on US President Joe Biden, his deputy Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to “conduct an independent investigation into the unlawful killing of an American citizen and ensure full accountability for the parties involved after the Israeli military said it was investigating the matter.”
