Diplomatic sources told the island that the United Nations Security Council had approved yesterday, Thursday, a draft declaration that Washington and Moscow condemned sentenced to strongly condemned to violence in the Syrian region of the Sahel, and calls on Syrian authorities to ensure the protection of all civilians and civil infrastructures in the country.
Diplomatic sources have added that the declaration of the Declaration on Syria will be officially approved today, on Friday, during an open session of the Security Council. The approval intervened after a closed -door meeting held by the 15 -year council on Syria last Monday.
The Security Council calls on the declaration – an immediate cessation of all violence and inflammatory activities in Syria, and highlights the importance of the international role in supporting a political transfer process led by Syria.
The press release indicates that the Security Council welcomes the public conviction issued by the Syrian authorities for violent incidents, and calls for more measures to prevent their recurrence.
The Security Council also confirmed “its strong commitment to sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria, and calls on all countries to respect these principles and to refrain from any work or intervention which would further destabilize the stability of Syria”.
Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara said that the coast’s events threatened his mission to unite the country and have committed to punishing officials, including his allies if necessary.
The violence broke out on March 6, after an attack by the remains of the President ousted Bashar Al -Assad on the Syrian security forces.
This attack led to a military campaign led by Syrian forces, in which charges were responsible for having killed a number of people in the Alawite sect, to which Assad belongs, by groups accused of being linked to the new government.
