Today, Monday, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a Palestinian home in the town of Hizma, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem, without prior warning, without taking into account the family’s special situation and without presenting a demolition order.
The house belongs to Al-Maqdisi Moatman Al-Khatib, who suffered from health problems following a previous arrest, while his only son suffers from a disability and his four daughters are enrolled in university.
The owner of the house told Al Jazeera Net that the occupation soldiers stormed the house and began the demolition process under the pretext that the building was “illegal”, referring to the lack of permits from the occupation authorities.
While his brother, Jawad Al-Khatib, claims that the demolition process began around five in the morning using bulldozers, without presenting any legal documents justifying the demolition process.
He pointed out that the house consists of two floors, each measuring about 200 square meters.
As for the housewife, Umm Luay Al-Khatib, she explains how the army stormed her house while there was no demolition order, stressing that the houses were built with difficulty and that it is now her responsibility to manage her family’s affairs, delegating her command to God.
