An official of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) considered today, on Friday, that fears of the influence of strikes against the Ansar Allah group (the Houthis) in Yemen on the preparation of the American army in the Indian surroundings and Hadi “exaggerated”, stressing that the army reserves the authority of using its complete capacities in the region against the group.
The “CNN” network has cited anonymous sources that American soldiers fear negatively the strikes of Yemen on the preparation of the army in the Indian Ocean and Hadi.
The sources have said that these soldiers are up to certain weapons against the Houthis because of their importance to war with China, and they also complained about the use of a huge amount of long -term weapons against them.
The network cited the official of the Ministry of Defense because it is difficult to determine the quantity of weapons remaining for the Houthis.
But he added: “We are not anxious to use long -term weapons if necessary to improve our efficiency”.
On the other hand, the sources have told “CNN” that the cost of the American operation against the Houthis, about a billion dollars in less than 3 weeks “despite its limited impact”.
He suggested that the army needs additional funding from the congress to continue strikes, noting the use of ammunition with hundreds of millions of dollars in the attacks.
Despite strikes, US officials admitted that the Houthi group was still able to strengthen and keep underground weapons.
The sources have indicated that some sites in the group have been destroyed, but that did not affect its ability to continue attacks in the Red Sea.
On March 15, American President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered his forces to launch a “big attack” against the Houthi group in Yemen, before threatening “to completely eliminate the Houthis”.
The Houthis replied that Trump’s threat would not discourage them from “continuing the victory of Gaza” because they resumed a few days ago to bomb sites inside Israel and the Red Sea ships, heading towards it, jointly with the resumption of the Israeli army since March 18, the war of extermination of the inverted Palestinian sector.
