An event organized by an extremist Jewish movement to encourage colonization in Gaza

The Haaretz newspaper reported that the Israeli army agreed to hold an event for the Jewish extremist movement Nahala in a closed military zone near the Gaza Strip border.

The newspaper quoted the movement as saying its members planned to come with a convoy carrying caravans with the aim of calling for settlement in the Gaza Strip now, but the army refused.

This comes at a time when a photo is circulating on social media in Israel of a trailer carrying a caravan with the words “Decision = Land” and “Settlements = Security” written on it.

Haaretz published a photo of Weiss standing next to a caravan with the words “Gaza is ours.”

The newspaper points out that protesters against the settlements in the Gaza Strip tried to prevent the convoy from passing, but that Israeli police prevented them.

Earlier Thursday, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to take seriously Israel’s announcement of its intention to take security control of the Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said during his visit to the Philadelphia axis, located on the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, that “the army will continue to maintain security control over Gaza, to ensure the prevention of future threats.” including tunnels and military infrastructure of Palestinian factions.
