The Israeli army announced – at dawn today on Tuesday that it had bombed targets in two Syrian military bases in the governorate of Homs, in the center of the country, for the second time within 3 days.
He added that the base of Palmyra and T-4 Military Air Force contain “military capacities”.
After bombing the two bases in Syria, the Israeli army confirmed that it would continue to work to suppress any threat to Israel, as he said.
Last Friday evening, the Israeli army announced the targeting of “strategic” military capacities in the bases of the Syrian army in the city of Palmyra and the T-4 military air base in the center of the country.
Sources have told Al -jazeera that two members of the Syrian Defense forces were injured in the raids.
The Israeli army has published – via its page on the X platform – a video clip in the targeting process, and the Syrian authorities did not immediately comment on this news.
At a daily rate, Israel has launched air strikes for months on Syria, killing civilians and destroying military sites, mechanisms and ammunition for the Syrian army.
Israeli violations of Syria are continuing, although the new Syrian administration, led by the president of the country, Ahmed Al -hara, has in no way threatened Israel.
On December 8, 2024, the Syrian army opposition factions extended their control over the country, ending 61 years from the Baath party regime and 53 years of the domination of the Assad family.
Since 1967, Israel has occupied most of the Golan Heights region and has benefited from the current situation in Syria – after the fall of the Bashar Al -Assad regime – the Syrian buffer zone occupied and declared the collapse of the agreement to disengage between the two parties in 1974.

European warning
For his part, the head of the European Union foreign policy, Kaya Kalas – of Jerusalem, yesterday – warned that Israeli strikes against Syria and Lebanon are planning a “new escalation” in the region.
“Military actions should be proportional and Israeli strikes against Syria and Lebanon are warning a new escalation,” added Kalas at a press conference alongside the Israeli Foreign Affairs Gatene Sahaer.
This comes at a time when the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the murder of 7 people last weekend in an Israeli bombing despite the cease-fire agreement, while Israel continues to launch attacks against Lebanon. The two parties exchange accusations of violation of the armistice.
In Syria, Israel has launched hundreds of attacks on military sites since the rebel factions overthrew the regime of ousted president Shaar al -Assad on December 8.
Israel claims that he wants to prevent the arrival of the former weapons of the Syrian army in the hands of the new Damascus authorities.
In this context, Calas said: “We believe that these things are not necessary because Syria is currently not attacking Israel, and this also feeds anti-Israeli extremism, which we do not want to see.”
The Israeli army has also deployed its forces in the demilitarized area monitored by the United Nations in the Golan Heights, and the separation between the Golan Israel since 1967 and the part which is still under the control of Syria.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on southern Syria to be weapons, warning that Israel will not tolerate the deployment of the forces of the new authorities south of Damascus.
For its part, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Israel of having launched a campaign against “the stability of the country”.
The Syrian government said that “the assault (part of) an Israeli campaign against the Syrian people and the stability of the country”.
