The government’s media office in the Gaza Strip considered that the Israeli occupation had committed a “systematic media extermination” against journalists and media institutions, since its attack on the Gaza Strip 19 months ago.

The office said, in a statement on the eve of International Press Liberty Day, which fell on May 3, that Gaza journalists are killed live with the weapons of the Israeli occupation.

On May 3, each year, International Press Freedom Day, was located in the United Nations decision on December 20, 1993.

The declaration added that today, that the world allocates each year to celebrate freedom of expression, “greets Gaza with blood, hunger, tears and ashes”.

He explained that if the world celebrates the freedom of the press, the blood of the Palestinian media in the streets of Gaza is bombed, their headquarters and their cars are bombed, their pens and cameras are broken, their houses are targeted and they are sometimes buried with their families under the rubble, only because they have decided to transfer the truth.

It urged the implementation of the international principle to prevent the perpetrators of journalists and perpetrators of crimes against them, by accelerating legal legal measures to hold the leaders of the responsible Israeli occupation and refer to them.

The union said that the world celebrates May 3 during World Press Freedom Day, while Palestine witnesses the most terrible and heaviest media extermination in history, implemented by the Israeli war machine.
