The most important massive sanctions in Israel against the Palestinians of West Bank and political Jerusalem

While international humanitarian law states that no one is punished for a violation that he has not committed, the Israeli authorities of the occupation have requested the policy of collective sanction against the Palestinians in the West Bank since the start of the aggression against Gaza on October 7, 2023.

While the Occupation has exceeded the various international standards and laws of the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip under the pretext of responding to the attack on October 7, the volume of violations and collective sanctions in the West Bank increased significantly, according to experts and human rights and international organizations and is not the least happens in Gaza.

The sanctions are not limited to the army of the practical occupation, but is accompanied by decisions of the Israeli Knesset, including the expulsion of families of prisoners who carried out operations against the occupation of the city of Jerusalem and the attacks which have reached the extent of the displacement of whole Palestinian rallies.

A starvation in the West Bank also

According to international law and the human rights expert, Moeen Odeh, all the local and international laws of the world reject all of the collective punishment, and in the case of Israel and the Palestinians, “it is clearly visible, especially after the cease-fire agreement in Gaza (January 19), that Israel has decided to punish all Palestinians of Western Cerce East.”

He underlined, in his interview with Al -jazeera Net, that international law rejects collective punishment even if one of the individuals is wrong in a specific society, and that punishment is limited to the same person, explaining at the same time that “the Palestinian population in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem is protected according to the fourth Convention of Genveva and practiced these individuals, collective punished.

He mentioned the violations which can be considered as a collective punishment which demolished the houses without giving the Palestinians another alternative, restricting freedom of movement, the closure and the barriers, the reduction of the continuous roads and the separation of the governors of the West Bank and the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Odeh said that “collective sanctions can reach the level of war crime”, explaining that “famine is not only applied to Gaza, but also in the West Bank, because it is deprived of people to go to work and obtain food from their day, which has led to the rise in prices of transport and goods, and that falls in matters of famine.”

In the light of a “media failure on what is happening in the West Bank and in Jerusalem”, Odeh says that the occupation continues to implement major arrests, collectively demolish the houses, storm cities, villages and camps without any clear military reason.

He referred to what Jerusalem is exposed to “to demolish the houses, from threats to the sanctuaries and to keep them away from the Al -Aqsa mosque and their city, all these questions are prohibited, prohibited and rejected in accordance with the Fourth Geneva Convention and according to international standards and laws.”

He stressed the importance of documenting these violations and publishing them in the media, considering that the main battle of Israel exists in the West Bank, in which the danger of the inclusion of large areas of it is hidden.
