The European Football Association (UEFA) announced today, Friday, the suspension of the English referee David Cote on the practice of any arbitration activity in European competitions until June 2026, due to its behavior during the “Euro 2024” championship.
In a statement, UEFA said that Cote had been prevented from arbitration in European competitions until June 30, 2026, because “it violated the basic rules of decent behavior and due to damage to the reputation of football and the European football association in particular”.
It should be noted that the disciplinary committee of the European Union opened an investigation with Kut, after the appearance of a video which appears in the inhalation of a white powder in a incident claiming to have taken place during its participation in the management of the European Nations Cup “Euro 2024” matches in Germany.
The decision admitted drug use because he admitted that he was also “gay”, which sparked English public opinion against him.
The 42 -year -old referee was expelled earlier from the Premier League Association, the Association of Professional Arbitrator, after undergoing an investigation into his behavior.

Kot was suspended from the association at the beginning of November 11, after a video clip showing him made humiliating comments on the Liverpool team and his former German coach, Juergen Klopp.
On November 27, 2024, the FA opened a new investigation into the wake of allegations declaring that Cote had discussed a yellow card before a first class match between Leeds and West Bromwich Albion in 2019, in order to benefit from one of her financially friends.
