The American president said that the sale of these cards should start in the two weeks.
“It’s like the green card, but at a higher level of development,” he said, explaining that this “gold card” will allow its holders to win American citizenship in the long term.

The US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lootnick said that the “Trump Gold card” would replace the visas (EB -5) within two weeks.
Lootnick added that the gold card, which will actually be the “Green Card” permanent residence card, will increase the cost of the visa to investors, and eliminate cases of fraud and “falsification” which, according to him, provided by The EB5 program. As with other green cards, this visa will include a citizenship course.
The EB 5 visas were created by the congress in 1990 with the aim of attracting foreign investments, and they are available for individuals who invest around a million dollars in a company that employs at least 10 people.
In 2024, Trump fought his campaign imposing more difficult restrictions on irregular migration.
For his part, the American president stressed that this “gold card” will allow “people to be attracted by the information technology sector which are able to create job opportunities, from levels very high ”.
