Trump: We have gone a long way to reach a solution on the Ukraine War News


US President Donald Trump said “a long way has achieved a solution to the war in Ukraine”, one day after having made two telephone calls to his Russian counterparts, Vladimir Putin and Foliomir Zellinski Ukrainian.

On the sidelines of his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House, Trump confirmed that he had established a good and excellent contact with Putin, who took about an hour and a half.

Trump and Putin spoke for more than an hour on Wednesday, the first known direct contact between two American and Russian presidents since Putin appealed with former American president Joe Biden shortly before the triggering of the Russian war -Ukrainian in February 2022.

In turn, the Indian Prime Minister praised Trump’s footsteps to restore peace between Russia and Ukraine, stressing that he has a solid conviction that Moscow and kyiv needed the negotiating table.

Trump said on Wednesday that he spoke to Putin and Zelinski, discussed the endowment of the war in Ukraine and revealed that he had asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Director of Intelligence and the National Security Advisor to direct the negotiations, expressing her conviction that she “would succeed”.

The Kremlin confirmed the launch of preparations for negotiations with the United States on Ukraine and said Thursday – that Ukraine will participate in peace negotiations to end the war “in one way or another” , but there will be a distinct American Russian path for discussions.

In kyiv, the Ukrainian president said he had an important conversation with his American counterpart and discussed a document on security and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Trump has always confirmed that he would quickly end the war in Ukraine, which he described as a “ridiculous” war, threatening Moscow to new economic sanctions if it does not accept negotiations.
