The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, had discussions on Sunday on regional developments with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georgius Giraprystris, who is currently visiting Doha.
The Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared in a statement that at the meeting, “the cooperation relations between the two countries and the means to support and strengthen them were examined and discussed the developments of the situation in the Gaza band, occupied Palestinian territories and Syria, adding to a certain number of questions of common concern.
On January 19, the cease-fire and prisoner exchange agreement between the Islamic resistance movement (Hamas) and Israel entered into force in its first 6-week stage, after the success of the mediation efforts carried out by Qatar alongside Egypt and the United States.
Qatar underlined the importance of the parties on Sunday to implement all the terms of the agreement and the need for negotiations on the second stage.
