270,000 Syrians have returned to their homeland since the overthrow of Assad Nouvelles


The High Commissioner for Refugees announced that more than 270,000 Syrian refugees returned to their country, after the reversal of the Bashar Al -Assad regime on December 8.

This came in a press release published by the Commission concerning the return of Syrian refugees to their country.

5.5 million Syrian refugees are currently living in Türkiye, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, according to the United Nations press release.

The press release indicates that more than 825,000 people in Syria have returned to their region since last December.

Document the persecution

In a related context, former prisoners of Syrian prison in Sednaya have established “the association of the detention of the Syrian revolution”, to explain the violations that the prisoners of the famous prison were tortured, sick and defending their rights .

This came during an event organized on Friday in the Syrian capital, Damascus, in the presence of survivors, missing persons and victims in prison.

The event began with the recitation of one of the prisoners released from the Holy Quran, and a demonstration was organized to denounce human rights violations which were submitted to prisoners of all Syrian prisons.

Hussein Nader, one of the founding members of the association, said that he was one of the former prisoners of Sednaya.

Nader explained that the objective of the association is to document the persecution of prisoners, to defend the rights of prisoners and victims and to request the trial of the managers of the crimes committed and to improve solidarity between the survivors and the families victims.

It should be noted that the Syrian opposition factions overthrew the Assad regime on December 8, ending 61 years from the bloody Baath party regime and 53 years of the Assad family rule.

The next day, the commander of the new Syrian administration, Ahmed Al -Shara, announced the sale of Muhammad al -Bashhir to form a Syrian government to manage the transition phase.

Later, it was announced that Sharia law assumed the position of the Syrian president during the transition phase.
